Chinese restaurant in America

Chinese restaurant is very common in Japan. Apparently it is indispensable of Japanese people's diet.

During the period of staying in the States, sometimes I'm missing of Japanese food. American style Japanese restaurant that prepared chopped beef or seafood on a hot steel plates.Although I like the atmosphere at there, but I rarely find those kind of restaurant in Japan. I mean, it's not typical Japanese restaurant. Therefore, I look for a China town or Chinese restaurant instead.

For example, The major city like San Francisco, it has very commercialised China town there. Go into a restaurant, take a look at menu list. However it written in Chinese character, but it translated in English just like chinjaorosu means stir-fried beef with onions and peppers, that very useful for tourists.

In contrast, Chinese restaurant in the suburbs of Vancouver, menu list has written in Chinese character as well. I found English alphabet below the Chinese character, but it's not translated in English. it written just a Chinese pronunciation like a chijaorosu that make me confusing.
