Panda Express is an Americanized Chinese cuisine in America, you can find it at the Food court in the Shopping Mall. The staple food in Japan is rice. During the period of traveling oversea, Japanese people including me wants to eat the rice once in a while. However, Japanese restaurant is expensive in America, I usually look for the reasonable Chinese cuisine which serves rice like a Panda Express instead.
You can also find the Panda Express in Kawasaki. Every time I eat here that bring me back the memories of the days in the States with nostalgic feeling.
Panda Express in which Americanized Chinese foods has a lot of salt and sugar in it for American taste. Panda Express in Japan offers a same taste compare to the one in America. I like the way served fortune cookie in a meal because there's no fortune cookies in China and Japan.
Japan has been affected by China for a long long time, so Chinese foods also major here in Japan and evolved in unique ways. Japanese people are picky about its taste of Japanese style Chinese foods. I don't know if the Panda Express' taste accepted by ordinary Japanese people. but Panda Express doesn't have to try to adapt the taste Japanese ways. I want Panda Express offers its service just the same way they do in the States. Eventually Japanese people who picky about its taste would be admit as an American style Chinese foods.
Now, let me tell you how to get to the Panda Express!
Take the Tokaido Line(東海道線) or Keihintohoku Line(京浜東北線) from Downtown Tokyo, and get off the train at Kawasaki Station(川崎).
Get through the ticket gate and take your left.
Get into the Lazona like a arrow shown in below.
Going down the escalator and go straight.
You can see the Food court which called "Dining selection" on your left.
